Honest evaluation

"To whom much is given, much is required."

I think about this a lot, particularly in the wake of losing my best friend and mentor recently. Eric and I have been given so much (and I don't mean monetarily). What would God require of us? Of me?

I guess I'm wondering about long-term. Big picture. Somewhere along the way, I've learned that there are opportunities to honor God in my daily life, and that I am right where he wants me to be in this season. So I'm not talking about making the most of daily opportunities to serve him (although I need to look there, too).

I'm just wondering, are we going in the right direction? I just want to be a good steward of the gifts we've been given, to ensure that they don't die when we do. I wanna hook my car up to something with some eternal horsepower, you know?
