Kaela came home from preschool today wearing some other little girl's panties. I'm not quite sure how that happened. And now what? Do I send them back to their owner and admit that I have no idea how they came to cover my daughter's bum? Or just play it off like I recognize them?
Sometimes I just have to laugh at the things I hear myself say in a day. "No, Buddy, we don't eat boogers." "Are you sure you wiped all the way?" "I am not pulling out every last hair--what do you think I'm braiding right now?"
Now it seems I'll be adding a new one to my morning routine: "I love you, Punkin! Be sure you give Ms. Lee your homework, and keep both gloves in your coat pockets. Don't wear your dance shoes outside. And come home in your own panties!"
You can't make this stuff up. :)
