Novel Things

I've been craving a trip back to New York. Just the vastness. Novelty. New experiences around every corner. Winter is a hard time for those of us who yearn.

Yesterday, I went to Wild Eggs for the first time for brunch with Rose. Best food in the entire free world. Avocado, tomato and bean sprouts atop an omelet full of mushrooms, 4-cheese blend, and fresh hollandaise sauce? Yes, please! (And stop the presses: there's a new location in Middletown?! Goodness, and I thought Havana Rumba was as exciting as life could get out this way.)

This afternoon, I rode an escalator that made me sick from the height at the new YUM Center. Whoa. Crazy escalator! Seriously-- sick to my stomach! It was a monstrosity! I wanted to go underneath just to get a look at how it was made--suspended like the Golden Gate Bridge or something.
Wow.

Louisville delivered. No need to fly to NYC anytime soon. We've got some superlative experiences right here! Who knew?
