I've been trying to think all morning what's cuter than a two-year old, and I am just at a loss. Ben keeps our family in stitches. He's always armed, even when Kaela has dressed him up like a girl. He's got a great, active sense of humor, and responds to any funny moment by acting it out again and again, and dissolving into that precious belly laugh. He is also sensitive to injustice, and if he thinks he's been slighted (Kaela has more water, or a bigger piece of brownie, or is getting more cuddles), he's quick to respond with crossed arms, knitted brow, and a mumbled "Grrr." He thinks the Little Rascals is the funniest thing he's ever seen, and can't take a bath without an aresenal of weapons (the newest is a bow and arrow), a toy Darth Vader with his mask off, and his hair in a shampoo mohawk.
He sings all the time!! He loves all things yellow, and seems to think that he has a special claim on yellow things because he feels so passionately about the color. He gives the best, most exhuberant bear hugs we've ever seen. He wants to be a little man, but still loves to cuddle with Mommy and Daddy. Sometimes at bedtime, he'll ask me if he can be my baby again. He doesn't like it when I tell him he'll always be my baby. He's quick to hit, quick to apologize, and never ever holds a grudge.
Here are a few photos of him today. He's asleep on the family room floor right now, and Kaela put the little pony down next to him so he wouldn't be lonely. He is absolutely precious, and we are all just so smitten with him.
