Ben's newest game is pretending he's a little orphaned animal.
"Yook, Mommy! I a baby y-ion who doesn't have any home!"
"Mommy, I a baby tiger wif no home. Can I cuddle wif ooo?"
"Mommy, watch out for the yocust! If you squish it, its babies won't have a mommy. And babies can't sweep (sleep) wifout their mommies!"
He does this little baby voice, and he's always so thankful when I adopt him and cuddle him and tell him he has a home now. There are so many metaphors for the Christian in his game that it makes my heart smile.
Just now, he walked in from helping Daddy grill with a "baby beetle that doesn't have any home. But it's a good bug. Not a bad one." He put it on the stove next to the burgers until Daddy told him to get it away from the food. I told him to bring me the beetle and I would make it a home, but I was too late. He found a better home for his little orphan: his sleeping sister's hair. =)
Half charitable benevolent, half pesky little brother, this one is.
