Music for the Road

My favorite part of traveling in the summer is by far the road trip music! In my normal life, I don't listen to the radio much, or I listen to talk radio or contemporary Christian--sometimes country. When I'm driving farther, though...oh, to sing along in order to pass the time! Then it's time to pull out the old CDs from college! Here are some must-haves for summer car travel:

1. Definitely, definitely this is my favorite. It's my brother Pete's CD from when he was singing a capella at Stanford. He also sang with another group, but this group and this CD are my all-time favorites.

2. The Best of Chicago

3. The Eagles Greatest Hits

4. Madonna, The Immaculate Collection (I still love, love, love "Crazy For You" and the rest of the songs are all songs you know--must-have criteria for songs to sing along with)

5. Dave Matthews, Under the Table and Dreaming

6. Carrie Underwood (of course!! This should be moved up to number 2)

7. The Clint Black CD that has his duet with Wynonna, "Is it Over Yet?." I love the song, and love the whole CD. Can't remember the title right now.

8. Wow Worship 2000.

9. Brad Paisley, "PS, This is Austin" Bonus--I just clicked on that link and found that there's a complimentary cell phone ring tone!! Whoo-hoo! Happy Day! :)

10. MercyMe

There you go! Not a comprehensive list, but it'll get you to the beach and back. =)

I'd add....any Selah CD...the Passion Worship CD. Those can make me get all charismatic in the car!
