Christmas 2008

Christmas is over. Mark, Stacy, and Tiffany have gone back to New York already. Pete leaves tomorrow. My grandmother, Mama Ann, is on the mend after a Christmas Eve heart scare. Winter continues. Bleah. This is the time of year I dread most--after all the family fun is over. It's been so nice to have a few pretty days' reprieve!

I'm trying not to think about the clock that's ticking down the minutes til back to school. (I got this tee-shirt for Christmas from a friend at school that says, "School makes me throw up a little." It's been my uniform the past week, since it makes me feel like a rebel. :) I wanted to post a picture, but it's in the wrong format. You think I could get away with wearing it to school on Monday? ha!)

In the meantime...there's fun to be had! We have a busy next couple of days catching up with people we don't get to see when we're all working. 2008 is over! We're all ready around here to ring the new year in with a loud bang, and are looking forward to celebrating tomorrow night with friends from church! :)
I heart vacation in the middle of winter.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the past week. Eric had to miss Christmas with my side of the family because Kaela was sick, and I missed Christmas with his side of the family to be home with her. Other than that, though, we've had plenty of time to argue, watch movies, make armpit noises (my brothers, not me), and sing around the piano. Family is such a gift. We hope you've loved on yours this week, too!

The picture of Ben and Kaela laughing is my favorite! I'm glad it made the Christmas card. ;)
