Here are the places I found parts of mine:
1) Sitting in the hot tub in the pouring rain with my daughter in the middle of the night in what I'm sure was a hurricane--sipping on strawberry milkshakes and giggling because we were in the rain in the hot tub in the middle of the night. :-)
2) Standing on our stools and dancing to the YMCA before joining a conga line and be-bopping outside the restaurant at Senor Frog's. This was the highlight of Kaela's week. Ask her about it--she giggles all over when she talks about it. I seriously considered karaoke with our neighbor at this place--but I don't know what Eric would do if I found my groove all at once and all in the same place...ha!
3) Sleeping with the balcony doors flung open to the sounds of the sea all week long. Do you know that pesky sinus infection I've been carrying around since February was gone in less than 2 hours???
4) Watching the sun rise during my morning quiet time on the balcony. It. Was. Breathtaking.
5) Listening to Ben say at least 700 times, "Oh, dis is my wucky day! Dis is my wucky day! Tank you so much for takin' me to Myrtlebeach....!"
6) On. The. Beach. Huge chunks of my groove, just waiting to be recovered, out in plain sight. All I had to do was take off my shoes and wiggle my toes in order to notice it.
7) Reading! Wow, we read a lot this week. (contented sigh...)
I think when I get old, I'd like to just be faced toward the beach. I don't even need to be wheeled in when it storms. There's just a peace that settles into the bones there, and it makes everything else seem so small and insignificant in the face of Creation. Here are a few pictures from the week.
