Ben and Kaela walked across the ice to play with neighbors next door. I'm watching from the window and can hear their gleeful trepidation as they navigate their path.
Ben, after falling down for the third time: "Dat's it! I hate dis! I'm gonna kick dis ice's butt! Wif a stick and my stompin' shoes!"
(hesitates)
"Don't tell Mom I'm sayin' 'butt' and 'hate!'"
