We're leaving as soon as the dryer's finished with the last load of warm-weather clothes--heading to Alabama for a few days to see my brother compete in a regional mock trial competition.
I'm sad and a little nervous because Eric can't go--he has to work all weekend. Again. But pumped to get to spend a few days with my mom and brother and kiddos. Away from here!
I'm kinda laughing at this point, but already this week...
...I have a double ear infection and had to get my ears irrigated. A necessary human indignity roughly equivalent to having an ingrown toenail removed, but way more painful.
...I ran late for school after my ear irrigation, tried to sneak in the back way to avoid the carpool line, and was spotted by my principal--driving backward in a schoolbus only zone....OOPS!
...3 of Ben's classmates have been sent home with confirmed flu.
...I made a friend mad at me.
...David (my brother) texted and said that the hotel we're staying in only costs $35.99 a night--but the pool's a foot deep and he's pretty sure those are leeches that are lining the bottom...
...and the dog just ran out the back door, into the back seat of the car that I'm packing, and vomited on the floor.
We're studying probability in math, and today we were working on the vocabulary certain, likely, unlikely, impossible, and equally likely. My school friends couldn't decide whether it was certain or very likely that a hurricane would hit Alabama while we're there this weekend--but they're sure it's one of the two.
Shoot, with a week like this, I'd almost bet with them! :)
