Home from the beach with a couple of deep, deep thoughts.
1) How come every new kids' movie is in 3-D? And costs $3.00 extra per ticket? They won't even let us cheapskates waive the 3-D glasses and watch it all blurry for regular price. Sheesh. What a racket.
2) I've gotten to read lots over the past month. Bestseller novels, mostly. Not one happy ending in the bunch. I haven't read much fiction in awhile, but seriously? Not ONE happy ending? Is every single author depressed or something? Is it our culture? It's like reading the gloom and doom stuff from the Dust Bowl era. Makes me want to write.
3) Life Lesson #1,310: Clean out the refrigerator THOROUGHLY before going on vacation. When in doubt, throw it out. Phew.
