Ben: Mommy, can we watch Eye-pop? (Popeye)
********************************************
Ben: Momma, I want some potaflowa.
Me: What?
Ben: (slower, to help me catch up) Pot-a-flowah
Kaela: (translating) Mom, he wants cauliflower.
Me: Oh, sure. Here you go
Ben: Is this made out of broccoli?
Eric: Taste it and see what you think it's made of.
Ben: (takes a bite, crumples up his face) Oh. It made out of grossness.
********************************************
Ben: Mommy, am I smart?
Me: Oh, yes, Darlin'--you're very smart
Ben: What does dat even mean?
********************************************
Ben: Momma, can I have some bubblegum?
Me: Nope, you're about to have dinner.
Ben: (Stomps foot and grumbles under his breath) Oo a mean ol' mommy.
Me: What did you just say?
Ben: I say oo a nice ol' mommy.
*Note to self--after we learn what "smart" means, we really have to go back to "honesty" and "we don't call our mommies names then try to flatter them"
