The Morning After

I. am. wiped. out.

I feel like writing...but my brain won't cooperate. I don't have the attention span to read the book I've been anticipating all week.

Must. Sleep.

I want to post pictures of Kaela's slumber party last night, but don't have the patience to sort them.

Here's a preview, though: Matt with a mohawk. Ignore the fact that it's crooked. Yes, our friend participated in the crazy hair contest (didn't win....). He did not participate in the dance-off (nor did Sarah, Eric or I), so thank God for small favors.

Early reflections:

1) I still love kids, and little girls rock!

2) Multi-age guest lists are a good strategy. Older neighborhood kids wanted to come, but thought they were "too cool" to be invited--so we told them they were on the helper list. They helped settle the youngers at bedtime, helped make responsible decisions for dance music and video requests, and just overall helped out the fun quotient.

3) Vegetables were put here by God for a reason. Too much junk food hurts the tummy--even just for one night.

4) I am not as old as I believed myself to be--and so very much older, too--all at the same time

5) My husband is a lot of fun, and an amazing daddy

Looks like so much fun! I'd be tired too. :)
