We've had a really good break. Plenty of family time, and I've gotten together with all those groups of people that I don't see much when school is in session. We had a great time at our New Year's party (of which I have no pictures, because I was too busy talking smack and losing at every single game I played...), at my grandmother's (of which I have no pictures because she was sick and didn't want her picture taken) and with friends I used to teach with (of which I have no pictures because I forgot my camera), and with the OPCs, and at Savannah's 2nd birthday party (of which I have no pictures because my memory card was full....)
We did go to Dinosaur World on I-65 the other afternoon when it was 70 degrees outside and we took flowers to the cemetery for winter. I DO have pictures of that...
This was a really fantastic day. Dinosaur World was a lot more fun that I expected, and the kids loved the excavation site (a giant sandbox where they could unearth dinosaur bones and try to identify the skeleton). We even surprised Eric with some fossilized dinosaur dung (which is actually rather beautiful) and he was jazzed about it! ;)
So back to the real world tomorrow. Sigh. I'm gonna go do nightly exercise now, then catch a late movie to see if the "stay up all night" thing actually works.
OH! PS--Eric got a video camera for Christmas, and we caught Ben saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Every time he says "indivisible" it cracks me up! But now we don't know how to share!
Add that to New Year's Resolutions, I guess. Figure out video camera.
Goodnight.
