Random thoughts on books/bookstores

1. What in the world is all that garbage taking up the religion section at Borders these days? Reading tea leaves? Numerology? Voo-doo? Are those even religions?? How annoying.

2. I've been looking for The Cross of Christ by John Stott for over a year. It comes highly recommended by several people, and from what I can gather, its message is life-changing. On the way into the bookstore I prayed that this time they would have a copy. And they did! Just one!! But after skimming it, I must say that it looks heavy! Since I had prayed that they would have the book (and I got my Borders Rewards discount on it) I had to buy it. But now I'm praying that my saturated, scattered brain will be able to receive its content. Just give me Jesus. I don't know how to explain it, but I am really in a place where I need to hear from Him. Not about Him. And the sooner, the better.

3. Francine Rivers needs to write a new book.
