My plane leaves tomorrow morning. I'm so excited! Mark says it's "freeze your boogers cold" there right now. Pete says he's going to drop me off in Central Park to celebrate New Years' with the crazies, and then he's going to go out and celebrate for real, knowing I won't be able to go anywhere anyway in all that madness. I'll show both of them. I've packed my warm skivvies, and I'm leaving before the ball drops in Times Square. :)
Seriously, I'm pumped. I get to spend tomorrow sight-seeing on my own, go see one of Mark's shows on Saturday (a children's show, there in the city), hang out with my brothers and their friends Saturday afternoon & night, then go to Brooklyn Tabernacle with my brothers on Sunday. I can't imagine a better way to spend the weekend, and still will be home in time to spend New Year's with my husband and children. What's that movie where Lily Tomlin and Bette Midler are the country bumpkins who head to the big city? :) I just hope there's a humongous bookstore within walking distance!!

How fun!!! I can't wait to see pictures! And, if you see Matt Lauer...wish him a Happy 50th! :)
If it weren't for the fact that I'm planning to throw Sarah that stupid birthday party, I'd be on my way to NYC now. Melisse went up there to see her boyfriend, and wanted me to come. But I couldn't because I have to be here for Sarah's birthday. It kind of made me mad because I would have been at Times Square for New Years.
Have fun!!!
