Bookends

I drove to work today under the most incredible sunrise. When Kaela was really little and our commute was farther, we used to talk in the car about how big God must be in order to paint the sky the way He does, and we would say, "Thank you, God, for the pink sky." Now, we're only in the car for 2 miles, and we don't do as much talking about Creation while we're there, but this morning she asked me to pull over so she could get a better look. And she remembered, because I heard her whisper, "Thank you, God for the pink sky."

Tonight the moon is so big it wouldn't even fit in the screen of my camera when I tried to take a picture of it. And I said to Ben, "How big God must be in order to hang a moon like that in the sky."
And Ben replied, "This is the best day of my life."
Thank you, God, for the amazing sky.

Perfect bookends to hold together an ordinary day.
