Tidbits...

1. I got a $73,000 cell phone bill today. Considering the phone's been lost for about a month, I found that pretty funny! Actually, it was a misprint. And Sprint covered my regular bill this month (I never go over $35) and is sending me a new free phone. Let's hear it for misprints!

2. Our spayed/neutered bunny pair surprised us last night by delivering a still-born baby bunny. Umm...spayed/neutered still means what I think it does, right? I'm not sure... After Kaela prayed for the baby bunny to find its way to Neeny's mansion, and then cried because by the time she gets to Heaven and sees it again, the bunny will be "a grown up, not a baby anymore," we just didn't have the heart to call the pet store to clarify the meaning of "fixed." Maybe we'll learn something about life together by observing these bunnies and their future family. Or maybe we'll send them to a happy new farm home. We'll see!

3. Spending an entire day scoring 4th grade portfolios tends to make one loopy. At one point, all 8 teachers in our little locked room had tears running down our cheeks from laughing about story elements. Story elements!? That's not even funny! Laughter is such good medicine.

4. On our breaks from portfolio scoring, I'm reading a new Francine Rivers book. Goodness, that lady's talented! This one is The Last Sin Eater. I'm totally absorbed in it. In my top 10 favorite books, I'm sure she's authored at least 5. Soul food.

We sure are enjoying the sunshine and the longer days. Open windows and dinner outside are such treats! Ben's potty-training, and it's nice to let him do that in the backyard instead of in the house! :) He is so precious in his T-rex underwear. (Sorry, buddy...when you're old enough to read this, you probably won't understand how smitten your mommy is. Just wait. One day you'll get it.)
